After registration you'll get an email with the exam date & time as well as a PIN number. You'll need that PIN number at the exam session.

What to bring to the test session.

• Your FRN
• WiFI capable laptop or tablet (charge cord/power adapter)
• $15 exam fee
• Photo ID
• If you are upgrading, a copy of your current license or CSCE

Exam sessions are computer-based IN-PERSON - you must bring a laptop or tablet with WiFi capability. We have a very limited supply of laptops for your use. Cell phones must be off during the exam.

The exam fee is $15 paid in cash at check-in. We do not accept checks, credit or debit cards. Effective in 2022 the FCC implemented a $35 application fee for new, renewals or vanity amateur license applications. Administrative updates are exempt from fees (upgrades to general or extra, address change, email address etc.). Once you pass your exam, we will submit your paperwork and the FCC will send you an email with instructions on how to pay the $35 fee on their website. You must pay the fee within 10 days.
