There is a $14 testing fee.
Our exams are 100% digital.
You will be testing using a tablet that we will set up for the process.
When you arrive, enter the CCDPS (Cumberland County Department of Public Safety) building. Straight in, there is a waiting area, myself, or one of our testing team will be there to review with you the testing process.
We require a government issued photo ID, i.e., driver’s license, passport, school ID, etc., to prove you are a U.S. citizen, and the person who registered for the exam.
As soon as you are done with the exam, you will immediately know if you have passed/failed.
Later that evening your paperwork will be processed, and (if you have passed) you will receive a “Certificate of Successful Completion of Examination), (CSCE) by email verifying that you have passed the exam.
Your test results will be entered into the FCC database.
The FCC will use your email address submitted when you created your FRN number, to communicate to you about your license.
It may take several days for the FCC to send (you) the applicant a confirmation email with instructions for "New" applicants to log into the “FCC Pay Fees site” and pay the $35 FCC Application Fee.
Often, the FCC emails end up in the "SPAN" folder. Please check this file often.
