Blount County Amateur Radio Club – ARRL VEC

Welcome to the Blount County Amateur Radio Club Exam registration. Pre-registration on this site is required. You must have an FCC FRN number to register. For instructions on how to register your SSN and receive an FRN from the FCC, visit the CORES Registration page

What you need to bring to the exam session:

Please review the ARRL webpage what-to-bring-to-an-exam-session for exam day requirements.

The following items will be required.

• FRN Number.

• Copy of Amateur Radio license if upgrading.

• One legal photo ID.

• Calculator with the memory erased.

• ARRL VEC Exam fee, presently $15. Does not include FCC $35 application fee which must be paid online. Please note that the $15 VEC exam fee is waived for those 18 and under.

Those examinees passing the technician exam will receive a free membership in the BCARC for the balance of the current year.
